Franklin, TN (A-Game Sports Network) - The U16 Storm have recently undergone a practice schduling change, updating team practice times to Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:25 pm on A-Game’s Rink 2.

Practices will conclude at 9:15 pm and players must be available to the media from 9:15 pm - 9:25 pm after each practice. Media requirements after games will be made on a per game basis.

A-Game Hockey Operations have announced the most recent player signings and official team roster heading into the 2010-11 season.

In a 3:00 pm CST press conference yesterday, the A-Game U16 Storm roster was announced, a roster which features many young A-Game draft picks (95 rookies) and several Nashville free agents.

The young group is a balanced mix of former S.I. and Nashville players who have come together and should develop well in facing tough tests among SYTHL U16 division opponents Arkansas Chaos, Atlanta Knights, Duluth Jr. Thrashers, Huntsville Chargers and Pelham Panthers.

Franklin, TN (A-Game Sports Network) - The U16 Storm have signed rookie forward Jesse Hyde to a one-year contract.

Hyde tallied 23 goals and 16 assists in 24 games for the Nashville Flyers Bantam-A last season.  He was originally signed as a free agent in 2003 after his inline career in Clarksville.

The 95-year broke in with Nashville during the 2003-04 campaign and spent the first five seasons of his career with them. Hyde has compiled 98 goals and 162 assists in 185 career games.

"Jesse is a skilled centerman, capable of playing in all situations both offensively and defensively," said director of player personnel Scotty Phillips. "His addition gives us some needed depth at the pivot."

Franklin, TN (A-Game Sports Network) - The U16 Storm have agreed to terms with free-agent forward Noah Keener on a two-year contract worth $1150 per season.

Keener’s 2009-10 season was marred by high sticking and fisticuff penalties contributing to his 140 PIMs which led the Nashville Flyers Bantam AA.

The former 8th round pick of the Maryland Ice Cats in the Potomac Valley District was also an offensive presence to go along with his physical play, chipping in 12 goals and 13 assists in 55 games.

Maryland’s trade with the PW Stars brought Keener to Nashville prior to the 07-08 season in which he posted 17 goals and 10 assists for 27 points. He saw a significant drop off in point production with 16 however, after being called up by the Bantam Flames during the 2008-09 season.

The 6’ 3" multi-faceted physical forward should bring a strong physical presence and legitimate offensive threat to the U16 Storm line-up in the 2010-11 season.

Franklin, TN -- FRA goaltender Jonathan Rydburg has signed a one-year deal with the A-Game Storm of the SYTHL U16A, and FRA has agreed to loan his services. One issue that still remains, however, is determining the date Rydburg can be re-assigned. A-Game Storms is working on that now.

The move solidifies the net for the U16 Storm, who signed rookie netminder Noah Sinz to a one-year, $1150 contract yesterday.

In 24 games with the Pelham Panthers last season, Rydburg posted a 16-4-4 record with a 2.25 goals-against-average and a .912 save percentage.Rydburg has two years left on a deal with FRA and played last summer in the Hockey Dynamics Instructional League

FRANKLIN, TN -- Restricted free agent Zach Haynes agreed to terms on a one-year, $1150 deal with the A-Game U16 Storm on Wednesday.

"We are pleased to get Zach under contract today," said Storm General Manager Scotty Phillips. "We look forward to him building on the success he had last season with the Bantam-AA Polar Bears and becoming an even bigger part of the team."

Last season, Haynes set career highs with 12 goals and added 14 assists for 26 points and 48 minutes in penalties. Originally drafted by the Southern Ice Tornados in the 4th round (19th overall) in 2003, the Tennessee native was traded to the Polar Bears in 2008 for a 3rd round pick.

Storm U16 has signed goaltender Noah Sinz to A one-year deal, securing the crease with a big steady netminder allowing the Storm to build the team roster from the net out. In 14 games with the Nashville Flyers last season, Sinz posted a 9-3-2 record with a 1.24 goals-against-average and a .915 save percentage.

The A-Game Storm and forward Cameron Earp have agreed to terms on a one-year contract.

Earp appeared in 34 games for the Nashville Flyers last season, collecting 12 goals and 16 assists with 35 penalty minutes, while finishing third on the team with 52 hits. He appeared in 14 House Leauge games during the 2010 season, adding 5 goals and 2 assists. 

The 6’ 2" forward was a Storm second round selection (42nd overall) in the 2007 Entry Draft.
