New to Hockey?
New to hockey? Don’t know where to start? New players ages 4-9 should start with our Learn to Play Hockey program. The cost of this 4-week program is only $60, and rental equipment is provided. Our LTPH program will develop a foundation and build confidence in a new player, which will in turn allow them to truly enjoy and feel more comfortable participating with more experienced players. After graduation from LTPH, players are encouraged to continue with additional skills sessions, or begin playing on a team in our house program.
House Hockey
parents new to hockey and the ice arenas at A-Game Sportsplex, we offer youth hockey programs for boys and girls of all abilities from ages 4 to 18. The Fall/Winter season runs from mid-September through mid-March.

Squirts: 2000 & 2001
Peewee: 1998 & 1999

Players who participate in our house league will have both weekly practices and scheduled games against other house league teams--receiving an average of 2-3 hours of ice time per week. Practice ice is typically shared between two house league teams. For games, coaches are expected to play all players as evenly as possible. After a preseason practice session, all players will be “drafted” and placed on teams in such a way that all teams will be competitive against each other. Players cannot play on a travel team and a house team at the same time.
We sincerely appreciate the coaches and managers who volunteer countless hours of their time to help make our program a great experience for our young athletes. Anyone interested in coaching this coming season please contact us to see how you can get involved.
Feel free to contact our Hockey Administrator, Christy Elrod-Church, if you have any questions about our hockey program at cchurch@agamesportsplex.com.

And players can expect to enjoy the following benefits in addition to their regular House League schedule:
• Official House Select jersey and team socks
• 10 practices as a team on Sundays
• Freedom Tournament in Huntsville, AL
• Country and Western Tournament at A-Game
• 1 home series with 3 games
• 1 away series with 3 games
• Investment is $350 for Mite & Squirt, $375 for Pewee & Bantam
Player development is the focus
Improving players' individual skills through more intense practices and games will be the focus of the program. Team concepts will also be taught, but the fundamentals of skating, passing, shooting and puck handling will be emphasized. At the tournaments, our teams will participate against other House Select and Bronze travel teams from all over the Southeast. This will provide the house players selected for this program a unique opportunity to compete at a higher level.
Representing A-Game Sportsplex
Players selected for this program will be expected to behave in an appropriate manner on and off the ice at all times. A-Game is committed to growing hockey in the Southeast and forming positive relationships with other teams, organizations, coaches, managers, parents and players.
