New players ages 3-12 should start with our Learn to Play Hockey program.
The cost of this 7-week program is $95, and rental equipment is provided. Our LTPH program will develop a foundation and build confidence in a new player, which will in turn allow them to truly enjoy and feel more comfortable participating with more experienced players. After graduation from LTPH, players are encouraged to continue with additional skills sessions, or begin playing on a team in our house program.

G.O.A.L. Program

The Nashville Predators have introduced Get Out And Learn! (G.O.A.L!), a FREE on-ice youth hockey program, in association with A-Game
as part of the Predators commitment to the development of youth hockey.

G.O.A.L! has been created to offer youngsters the opportunity to experience the excitement of hockey without the cost of purchasing equipment.  Designed for boys and girls ages 5 to 8 years old with no prior hockey or skating experience, this free four-week ice hockey program will introduce the exciting sport of hockey to kids while teaching life experiences of teamwork, sportsmanship and self-confidence as a child develops through athletic participation.

House Hockey

Parents new to hockey and the ice arenas at A-Game, we offer youth hockey programs for boys and girls of all abilities from ages 4 to 18. The Fall/Winter season runs from mid-September through mid-March.

Age group definitions for 2010-2011

Termites: 2004 and younger

Mites: 2002 & 2003

Squirts: 2000 & 2001

Peewee: 1998 & 1999

Bantams: 1996 & 1997

Players who participate in our house league will have both weekly practices and scheduled games against other house league teams--receiving an average of 2-3 hours of ice time per week. Practice ice is typically shared between two house league teams. For games, coaches are expected to play all players as evenly as possible. After a preseason practice session, all players will be “drafted” and placed on teams in such a way that all teams will be competitive against each other. Players cannot play on a travel team and a house team at the same time.

We sincerely appreciate the coaches and managers who volunteer countless hours of their time to help make our program a great experience for our young athletes. Anyone interested in coaching this coming season please contact us to see how you can get involved.

Feel free to contact our Hockey Administrator, Christy Elrod-Church, if you have any questions about our hockey program at cchurch@goagame.com.
